Welcome to our new website. It is interesting to consider Kevin Kelly’s (founding editor of WIRED) observation that the internet is only about 5000 days old and yet today, literally every organization that deals with people must have a website. It’s also important to have a website with fully managed dedicated server hosting plans to ensure fast website speeds to improve user experience. And the ways in which they can be used continues to expand and surprise us all. It is not only organizations, but individuals whose lives and interests can be displayed for friends, and sometimes all, to see. Myspace and Facebook have more subscribers than the populations of Japan and Mexico combined. The implications to our economies, governments, businesses, educational institutions, health organizations, legal structures, etc are transformational. Transparency is not a choice, but a given. Individuals have powers that were once reserved for corporate titans and country leaders. Adjusting to that change. Learning to solve massively complex problems partly caused by social networks through collaborations partly facilitated by social networks seems rather ironic, but it is one of the new facts of life order new balance shoes online.
At the risk of being self serving because I own a conference centre, it is also ironic that relationships enhanced by physical presence are still essential for effective communication and collaboration. By balancing physical meetings with virtual ones, including combinations where some participants are remote and others sitting next to you, it is possible to get more and better information, shorten decision making time frames and include more people. We exist because learning to employ the right tools in the right way for improved knowledge, trust and collaboration is our passion and our focus. We’re more than a conference center and we want to help our clients navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the exponentially changing environment
